People and Events

This page is made up of short stories. Some people don't realise they make a difference.

Wednesday 14th July 2010: I had driven off from putting $20 of petrol in the car. Because the traffic was heavy, we all stopped.
The lady behind me got out of her car and asked if I had recently filled up with petrol as she saw what looked like the petrol cap fall off the roof of my car! The fact that she took the extra effort to let me know was being increadibly helpful. Her action made a big difference to me.
Who ever you are you are an angel. THANK YOU

Something I often wonder who was this man who made the difference? In July 2001 I was driving home from work on a Friday evening. I had a stroke (burst blood vessel in my head. This caused my system to 'fail' I opened the car door and climbed out to seek help, but fell over into a busy road. A taxi driver behind me stopped, came over and assessed me back in my car, then called for an ambulance which arrived in no time. His action made a huge difference in getting me to hospital reasonably quickly.
This man made a differrence. A huge difference. You are an angel, who ever you are. THANK YOU.

For quite a few months (over a year) a lady came to my garden to design and make it organised and tidy... and she said she felt she needed a garden to look after. It was all for the love of garden and plants. This was a time when it seemed as though all the things I did, didn't seem to be working. Her coming to my garden, breathing life into it made more difference to me than she will ever know. Admittedly I am not able to keep the garden anything like some areas she had totally improved beyond anything I could have imagined. I upset her with some things I did and this lead to our 'miscommunicated'. I think things are ok now, but maybe they are not as she hasn't said. She is a lady who makes a difference for other people, a lot of people, but I don't think she hears that other people acknowledge that she is such an amazingly caring person who is knowledgable plants person. She does much for others and now in her 80's she has made a difference for others, just by the stories she tells of things she has done.
This person is Marjorie Lowe who put the 'Subtropicals' Magazine together. PO Box 91-728, Auckland 1142 New Zealand. Another angel.
